ELECTRIC HOLDING AND POURING CRUCIBLE FURNACE
A proprietary shell in welded steel houses a high quality crucible. Heating is by means of electric elements mounted on six independent removable ceramic plates. The advantage of this solution is that, in the event one of the elements fails, temperature is guaranteed through the remaining elements. At the end of the production batch or work shift, the faulty element can be replaced without the need to remove the crucible from its cradle.
The wide loading door of the furnace additionally has a quick opening for easy access to charge the molten metal. Temperature control is achieved through the use of two easily accessible thermocouples - one for bath control and one for the control of the heating elements. The furnace is mounted on a trolley that allows horizontal shuttling to facilitate maintenance, the replacement of the heating elements or the crucible.
The lifting system it includes a hydraulic motor activating two screw jacks and can lift the furnace for up to 250 mm.
