UNIMOLDS is the tooling division of the LPM Group that was established in 2010 as a result of the merger between LPM Molds (2003) and BORLI (1967) and istheCustomer Satisfaction Company vision able to provide to his customers a complete and optimized solution based on their manufacturingrequirements of tooling for the gravity and low pressure casting of aluminium alloys.
Highly qualified Engineers and Workers (heritage of two World Wide known Companies) and state of the art manufacturing technology are the basis of our daily work!
Our force is principaly based on the experience achieved by each of our 65 employees in the manufacturing of tooling for the highly competitive OEM automotive industry, that requires best practice and the over all knowledge not only of the tool, but of the complete process and project.
We are qualified to provide tooling for low pressure and gravity casting and core boxes for castings with single or multiple injection, with air or water cooling systems media, tool temperature control with electric heating systems or gas burners.
UNIMOLDS has always choosen to use only steels of certified quality together with best practice heat treatments that grant a top level end product.
Our Engineering department, hart of the organization, is equipped with the most advanced CAD 2D & 3D software systems (CREO PARAMETRIC 3, CATIA V5, SIEMENS NX11) and CAM (WORKNC V24, CG TECH VERICUT V 7.4, POWERMILL V2017) included the PROCAST 2016 software for casting simulation and tooling deformation.
The experience and the tools in our hand allow us to manufacture the casting/tool starting from a drawing or from the finish model.
Our toolshop, the operation arm, is equipped with 26 CNC centers, splitted in 12 HSM 5/4 axis milling machine centers and 6 HSM 3 axis milling machine centers (DECKEL MAHO/DOOSAN/REMA), 6 heavy duty CNC lathes (DMG/DOSAN) and two EDM and WIRE CUT machine centers.
The manufacuring process optimization is achieved thanks to the continuous investment in last generation and state of the art machining technology side by side with high level of granted precision and manufacturing speed.
UNIMOLDS inside the LPM Group further offers to his customers the possibility to directly hot test the product in our in house casting unit both in low pressure and in gravity process, supported with highly qualified casting engineers and equipment for the alloy quality control (Quantometer and Microscope) and of the Casting (X-RAY).
The quality of our products is certified by our internal quality control with the support of advance checking systems.
Above all edges our CMM department placed inside a climatized room and the support of two dimensional control stations
ZEISS/COORD and a scanner system STEINBICHLER/ZEISS granting the exact dimensional survey of the hard work done.
The result is the achievement of the ISO 9001-2000 quality system.
