AUTOMATIC WATER QUENCH SYSTEM FOR ALLOY WHEELS
The system is composed by a vertical supporting structure, with a pneumatic wheel clamping and rotation (180°) unit designed to pick up the wheel immediately after unloading and plunge it into a stainless steel tank filled with cooling water. After a pre-set immersion time, with an automated and programmed  movement, the wheel is lifted off and positioned onto a trolley that will take it to a convenient and safe position for visual check by the operator. The system is designed to be positioned between two die casting machines so as to serve both, even when they are producing two different types of wheels. The system also includes an electrically motorized drop section with welded tubular frame. After inspection the good wheel is sent by the operator to a pre-set position by means of the drop section, from which a roller conveyor will send it to the production line. Should the wheel be defective, the operator will send it to a conveyor that will deposit it in the rejects area under the machine.
