AUTOMATIC FILTER LOADER FOR LOW PRESSURE MACHINES
The automatic filter loader is a device that can be installed as new or retrofitted into existing machines. Designed to automate filter load during the casting cycle, it is composed by a pneumatic arm, a filter magazine with a capacity of up to 34 filters, and a control unit.
The process is relatively simple. The arm picks up the filter from the magazine and positions it where required. The control panel receives input from the PLC of the LPDC machine and coordinates the filter loading operations during each cycle. The control unit alerts the operator when the quantity of the filters in the magazine is running low as well as in the case the arm should drop the filter during loading. The system is very versatile and can work either with ceramic or metal filters, or both. All the pneumatic valves and the limit switches are actuated by the control unit, which is also fitted with manual switches to allow manual cycle.
